What it represents
A house is an area of life represented in a chart; Astraluno uses Whole Sign, a full sign for each. In astrological interpretation, the 9th includes beliefs, long journeys, study and the search for meaning. You open an atlas after reading, take a course that changes your questions, hear how another culture tells the same experience. Here you widen the known world and seek a thread connecting what you learn. Planets here add themes to inquiry and sharing ideas. The gift is a broader perspective; the challenge is letting an actual encounter alter a conviction, even when that conviction has been dear to you.
In practice
- Experiences that add to your view of the world
- The detail that makes you reconsider a conviction
- Questions you continue to carry into study or travel
Position in the Whole Sign system
House 9 starts 240°00′ after the beginning of the Ascendant sign, modulo 360°00′. House numbers are available only when that sign remains determined throughout the window.
